Parenting Support is evidence-based and aims to increase support for parents/carers of children aged 18 months —18 years old at risk of negative outcomes. The parenting support service supports parents/carers to ensure that they receive a coordinated package of parenting support.
Families who would benefit from parenting support include those with children who are at risk of:
- Poor school attendance
- Exclusion from school
- Becoming involved in anti-social behaviour
- Families identified as needing early intervention for mild to moderate mental health difficulties
- Substance misuse (drugs or alcohol)
