The application form on 'My Early Learning' website is simple to use and takes you through a step-by-step process to check eligibility for 2 year olds. You will need to provide your basic personal details including your name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number, National Insurance number and your child's details.
If you do not have an email address, please visit your nearest children's centres who will complete the online application form on your behalf.
Once you submit the completed form you will receive an instant confirmation of whether you are eligible or not for a free early learning place for your two year old. This will be displayed both on the screen and sent to you via email. Please keep the email safe and read it carefully as it will give you further information about what to do next.

Two year olds who have a current statement of of special educational needs (SEN) or an education, health and care plan.
Children who meet this criteria will have already been identified by the local authority. A letter confirming eligibilty will be sent directly to these families. However, if you think you meet this criteria and you have not received a letter, please contact either the Early Learning Team on
, your local children's centre, health visitor or an organisation such as 'Contact a Family' or Early years Alliance'.
Two year olds that are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance
Parents/carers of children meeting these criteria will need to visit their local Children's Centre, health care professional or organisation such as 'Contact a Family', or 'Early Years Alliance'. Any of these professionals will be able to verify that you qualify for a free early learning place by contacting the local authority. The Early Learning Team will then send you a letter confirming your eligibility.
