Information about us
The Website is operated by London Borough of Lambeth, Families Information Service (the FIS’) whose address is at 3rd floor International House, Canterbury Crescent, Brixton, London SW9 7QE.
Accessing our site
Access to the Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and the FIS reserves the right to withdraw or amend the service provided on the Website without notice. The FIS shall not be liable if for any reason the Website is not available at any time or for any period.
Our site changes regularly
The FIS aims to update the Website regularly and may change the content at any time. From time to time, the FIS may restrict access to some parts of the Website, or the entire Website, if required. The FIS does not guarantee that the information displayed on the Website is accurate. Any of the material on the Website may be out of date at any given time and the Council is under no obligation to update such material.
Where the FIS publishes and controls information on the Website, it will use all reasonable endeavours to correct errors or omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them. However, because of the complex technology that is required in operating the Website there may be times when obvious errors occur. For example, this may result in a service or other detail displayed being incorrect.
Intellectual property rights
All rights in the Website, including copyright, the content and design of the Website, are owned by the London Borough of Lambeth or used under licence from third party owners. You are prohibited from copying, modifying, transmitting, distributing, selling, displaying, licensing or reproducing any content, including images and other media on this Website, in whole or in part for any commercial purpose without the prior written permission of the FIS and can only use this Website and its content for your personal or non-commercial use.
Reliance on information posted
Commentary and other materials posted on the Website are not intended to amount to advice on which reliance should be placed. The FIS therefore disclaims all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials by any visitor to the Website, or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents. The FIS shall not be liable for and accepts no responsibility for any information presented by a third party.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Council disclaims all liability, representations, warranties, whether express or implied by statute, custom or usage relating to the information contained in or services offered on this Website. This does not affect your statutory rights under English law. The Council does not limit or exclude its liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or in respect of any fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which it cannot exclude by law. The Council shall not be liable for any losses or damages (whether direct, indirect or consequential) whatsoever, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise arising from this Website, or from any interruption or delay in accessing this Website.

Links from our site
Where the Website contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. The FIS has no control over the contents of those sites or resources, and accepts no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Any links provided on the Website to other sites are not intended to provide an endorsement by the FIS. The FIS cannot guarantee that links to external sites will work all of the time.
Viruses, hacking and other offences
You must not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the server on which the Website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Website. You must not attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. The FIS will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and the London Borough of Lambeth will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Website will cease immediately.
All downloadable material on the Website is carefully checked for viruses before being uploaded onto the Website, however the FIS recommends that, as an extra precaution you run your own virus check on each document you download before saving it to your disk or hard drive. The FIS will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Website or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any site linked to it.
